... well, with the possible exception of Ronald Reagan. Probably the most brilliant president we've ever had, a man who was one of us. I think Sarah Palin might be of the same ilk--a woman who is one of us yet also an astute politician who seems to believe that she works for us, not vice versa, and will govern, when elected as president, with the Constitution to guide her.
But all that aside. The current takeover of the United States by the progressive domestic terrorists is similar to past political seasons where one party owned both the executive and the legislature. Most recently the right side owned both at the beginning of the Bush 43 administration and they certainly pushed the right-side agenda. Then as the left began taking over Congress, we had a balancing act (Remember checks and balances? Not many do.) also known as a do-nothing Congress (the 110th).
This Congress, the 111th, and probably the next, will be all about massive government control of every aspect of your life and, in some cases, that control will cost you your life (Obamacare). This Congress, under the "guidance" of the liar-in-chief puppet-master, with the able sycophants Harry (we lost the war) Reid and Nancy (we write the bill) Pelosi, will own you, your children, your grandchildren.
It's time to fight back--a preemptive strike using your right to protest while you still can. The pitchfork and torch of letter-writing and voting is yours to use and use effectively. Tell the progressives who really owns this country ("we the people") and if they don't listen, vote them into oblivion.

Where are we?
Our Republic, until Jan 20, 2009, had a lot of respect and disrespect in the world. Respect of people and governments who value their people, disrespect of those who do not. But now that we have proved our weakness, we are earning more disrespect and giving up much of the respect it took over 200 years to earn.
